Langwarrin is situated at the gateway of Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula with easy access to the city via either the new East link or the Monash freeway. Surrounded by some of Australia’s best golf courses, premium cool climate wineries and a 15 minute drive to some of Melbourne’s best beaches. Langwarrin is where semi urban living takes on a rural aspect.
The majority of area in Langwarrin consists of hobby farms, grazing land, parks and gardens. Established leafy native trees are a feature throughout the community and the housing estates have been planned to conserve this country feel.
The township has two village like shopping centres, four primary schools and a well equipped secondary college.
Lloyd Park recreation reserve is one of the best sporting facilities in this growth corridor. Boasting three cricket and Football fields, netball and tennis courts with an additional two major soccer clubs on Langwarrin’s fringe the sportsmen are well catered for. The Langwarrin Pony Club Reserve is also a major attraction in the equine world attracting competitors from all over the state competing in both junior and adult events.
Langwarrin is also the home to the magnificent gardens of Cruden Farm owned by Dame Elizabeth Murdoch, which is open for events throughout the year.
